Hidden Treasure – A Deeper Understanding

And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.  Daniel 7:27 KJV

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.  1 John 3:23 KJV

And now that we are Christ’s we are the true descendants of Abraham, and all of God’s promises to him belong to us.  Galatians 3:29 TLB

The following words can apply to us as individuals and even to families or nations.

My child, when you come to serve the Lord, prepare yourself for testing. 2 Set your heart right and be steadfast, and do not be impetuous in time of calamity. 3 Cling to him and do not depart, so that your last days may be prosperous. 4 Accept whatever befalls you, and in times of humiliation be patient. 5 For gold is tested in the fire, and those found acceptable, in the furnace of humiliation. 6 Trust in him, and he will help you; make your ways straight, and hope in him.  Sirach 2:1-6 NRSV 

In the above verses there is a warning for all  who will accept Christ. If God’s professed people are not prepared ro accept the yolk, He will then go out into the highways and byways of this world and find a people who will willingly take up the yolk. He will lead them just as surely as He will lead the most regular churchgoer.

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.  Matthew 8:10 NIV

And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.  Matthew 3:9 NIV

And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.  Luke 14:23 KJV
